June 13, 2022 / Mahopac, NY – This week the Affiliated Police Associations (APA) of Westchester endorsed Assemblyman Kevin Byrne’s candidacy for Putnam County Executive.

In a letter to Byrne announcing the endorsement APA President Keith Olson wrote that “I am proud to inform you that the Affiliated Police Associations of Westchester (APA) has enthusiastically endorsed your candidacy for election to Putnam County Executive. We appreciate your commitment to law enforcement, and we look forward to working with you in the future.”

Olson continued “Again, the Affiliated Police Associations of Westchester is proud to endorse your candidacy and we wish you the best of luck and success on Election Day.”

Kevin thanked the members of the APA of Westchester and President Olson for their endorsement. “I am truly honored to have so much support from our men and women in blue. The APA includes representatives from local, county and state law enforcement that protect & serve across the greater Westchester County area. At times, we rely on them to coordinate and share information with our law enforcement agencies in Putnam County. Many of their officer’s call Putnam County home and I am, once again, honored to have their support.”

The Affiliated Police Associations (APA) of Westchester County was incorporated in 1989 and works to build a strong PBA coalition across the county, providing a forum for PBAs to discuss situations that cross their boundaries. The APA consists of over 45 law enforcement agencies representing more than 4,000 law enforcement officers.
