Dec. 28, 2018 / Brewster, NY -During the middle of the holiday season, Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R, C, Ref-Mahopac) and his staff visited the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown and Brewster Community Food Pantry to distribute donations collected from their holiday food drive. Byrne’s office received five full boxes of non-perishable food from generous residents throughout New York’s 94th Assembly District.

The successful food drive began on November 19 and concluded December 20. The Patterson, Putnam Valley, Southeast and Somers Town Halls, as well as the Mahopac and John. C. Hart Memorial Libraries served as drop-off locations.

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our local partners as well as the residents of the 94th Assembly District who took time out their busy holiday schedule to give back to those in need,” said Byrne. “I would also like to thank the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown and the Brewster Community Food Pantry for their incredible work in our community. These organizations provide a vital service and it’s always a pleasure to work with them. Please keep these organizations and other food pantries in the area in mind throughout the entire year and support their great efforts.”
