(Wednesday, September 23, 2020) – Assemblyman Kevin Byrne hosted a successful campaign kick-off event in Brewster on Saturday, September 19th. The event, held in the Clock Towers Commons outdoor courtyard, attracted supporters from throughout the district and beyond, eager to hear the Assemblyman’s vision for his third term.

Saturday’s event featured prominent elected officials, local stakeholders, and members of the community. Delivering remarks in support of Assemblyman Byrne were former Westchester County Executive and current candidate for state Senate Rob Astorino, state Senator Sue Serino, and Congressional candidate Chele Farley. Dozens of other local officials were on hand to show their support including former Congresswoman Nan Hayworth and Putnam County Clerk Michael Bartolotti. Members of the Westchester County Correction Superior Officers Association and the Uniformed Fire Officers Association Local 854 (FDNY) were also present to highlight their endorsement of Assemblyman Byrne’s re-election.

In his remarks, Assemblyman Byrne touted his record of consistently standing up for a more “responsible, accountable, affordable government that values our constitutional freedoms” and pledged to continue to fight for the rights of all New Yorkers. He is known for his common-sense approach, working across the aisle when needed, and commitment to getting work done for constituents.  Byrne’s record in Albany includes passing 19 pieces of legislation, more than most of his colleagues within his Assembly class, regardless of political affiliation. He has consistently protected taxpayers, voting against every proposed state tax increase and promoted pro-business laws that helped welcome new businesses, and the jobs they create, to the region.

Assemblyman Byrne’s leadership and accomplishments have been recognized by many different 3rd party and non-affiliated voters earning him four additional ballot lines. He has already earned endorsements from over 30 different police, business, healthcare, labor, and first responder organizations.

Assemblyman Byrne will appear on the Republican, Conservative, Independence, SAM-NY, and Rebuild Our State lines this upcoming general election.
