Oct. 9, 2018 / Albany, NY – The Boilermakers of Local Lodge No. 5 recently announced they are proud to endorse Kevin Byrne for the 94th District of the New York State Assembly.
Boilermakers Local No. 5 President Tom Ryan said, “Today, more than ever, we need a man of character to represent our families and protect our livelihoods.” Ryan continued, “Boilermakers desire an assembly member on the labor committee that they can count on to provide energy jobs for New Yorkers. They need someone who believes New Yorkers should generate their own electrical power, and not import it from another state or country. Assemblyman Byrne understands how important it is to keep electrical power generation in the Lower Hudson Valley for our community’s economic security and vitality.”
Assemblyman Byrne accepted the endorsement, “We need to ensure that their jobs are protected and that New York State maintains control of it’s energy grid by generating energy in New York State.” Byrne said, ” As someone who was raised in a union household, I appreciate all the work the Boilermakers do.
