BYRNE EAGER TO WORK ACROSS THE AISLE FOR 2019 LEGISLATIVE SESSION

A statement from Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R,C,Ref-Mahopac)

“The 2019 Legislative Session has begun and there is a challenging road ahead due to the large amount of work we still have to do.  As more and more people flee New York, we see the negative effects of out-migration and population loss; families are being separated, federal funding being lost and our representation in Washington shrinking. New York is long overdue for tax relief and we must foster a friendlier business climate, one that doesn’t simply rely on the Governor’s economic development agencies to pick winners and losers.  New Yorkers also deserve real ethics reform to restore public trust.  We must hold all our elected leaders accountable and ensure our state prospers under a fair, honest and transparent government.  I remain eager to work together with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make this a reality.”
