Oct. 4, 2018 / Albany, NY – Earlier today the Business Council of New York State PAC announced the endorsements of various state legislative candidates running for election this year. Among them, Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R, C, Ref- Mahopac) earned the pro-business organization’s endorsement for his re-election to represent the people of New York’s 94th Assembly District.

Business Council President & CEO Heather Briccetti  “With pro-growth, pro-jobs messaging under attack on multiple fronts, and the competitive challenges facing New York’s business community, it is critically important that New York taxpayers elect lawmakers who understand the role business plays in our state’s economic health. The lawmakers and candidates endorsed by The Business Council PAC have demonstrated a commitment to the issues most important to our members.”

Assemblyman Byrne thanked President Bricetti and the council’s membership for their strong endorsement. “New York State taxpayers cannot afford to lead the nation as one of the worst states towards business.   We need to treat businesses better so they come to New York, stay in New York, grow in New York and hire in New York.” Byrne said, “I’m honored to receive the Business Council’s endorsement and look forward to working together to build more economic opportunities in our state.”

According to their website, the Business Council’s membership is made up of roughly 2,400 member companies, local chambers of commerce and professional and trade associations.  Though 72 percent of their members are small businesses, they also represent some of the largest and most important corporations in the world.  Combined, their members employ more than 1.2 million New Yorkers.
