Somers, NY – Earlier today, ConservAmerica President Robert Sisson announced that “ConservAmerica is pleased to endorse Kevin Byrne for New York’s 94th State Assembly seat. Kevin will be a champion for conservation and environmental protection in Albany.  New York’s natural resources provide jobs and recreation across the state and make possible the world famous clean drinking water enjoyed by the millions of residents of New York City.  Kevin will be a good and wise steward of those resources.”

Assemblyman Byrne accepted the endorsement and reiterated that “the decisions we make affecting the environment today have the potential to help or harm the public health of our citizens for generations to come.”  Byrne continued, “That’s why I have embraced opportunities to support public health and pro-environment initiatives that support open space, clean air and clean water.  I thank President Sisson and the entire team at ConservAmerica for their support and endorsement.”

Completing his first term in elected office, Assemblyman Byrne has already proven to be a successful advocate for the environment by introducing and passing legislation, now signed into law, which provided special inland waterway designations for the Peekskill Hollow Creek (A7974), Baldwin, Ossi and Purdys lakes (A7123) as well as Oceola lake and lake Mohegan (A9655).  Byrne also served as an effective advocate by sponsoring legislation to strengthen the Clean Indoor Air Act (A516), and voting to prevent the proposed anchorage sites along the Hudson River (A6825A).
