October 11, 2018 / Hicksville, NY – Earlier today, the New York State Fraternal Order of Police announced its endorsement of Assemblyman Kevin Byrne in his re-election campaign to represent the people of New York’s 94th Assembly District.
NYS FOP President Michael Essig said “As the oldest and largest national association of law enforcement professionals with over 20,000 members statewide, we have based our endorsement upon Assemblyman Byrne’s demonstrated and continued support of police professionals.”
“As police professionals who most experience and witness the trauma and effects of criminal behavior wrecked upon our fellow citizens, we understand, all too well, the significance of dedicated public servants like Assemblyman Byrne who possess the courage and compassion to promote the confidence in our government and our courts.”
Assemblyman Byrne accepted the endorsement, “I am honored to once again receive the strong endorsement of the New York State Fraternal Order of Police.” Byrne said, “These fine men and women have led their lives in protecting our communities and keeping us safe. I look forward to continuing our service in the NYS Assembly and remain a friend to our men and women in blue.”
