September 14, 2018 / Albany, NY – The Police Benevolent Association of New York State (“PBA of NYS”) has announced the endorsement of Assemblyman Kevin Byrne for his re-election campaign.

In announcing their decision to the Assemblyman, Daniel M. De Federecis, Executive Director and Counsel to PBA of NYS said “Your respect and support for law enforcement was the main factor in our decision, but your overall experience and integrity was certainly a significant factor as well.  We have no doubt you are the best qualified candidate in this election.” De Federecis continued, “Our members are not only police officers, but are community residents, taxpayers, parents, and many other roles that came into consideration for your endorsement. Your dedication and support for all of these individuals in New York State exemplifies the type of leader we need in the State Legislature fighting for men and women in uniform.”

Assemblyman Byrne expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the endorsement. “Standing up for our men and women in uniform as their advocate in Albany has been a tremendous honor.” said Byrne,  “These brave public servants put their own lives at risk to protect others.  I will display this endorsement proudly, and will remain a steadfast advocate for all our first responders, including our men and women in blue.”
