August 10, 2020 / Somers, NY – Yonkers Finest announced earlier in May they have officially decided to back Assemblyman Kevin Byrne for re-election to continue serving the hard-working people of New York’s 94th Assembly District.
In a letter announcing the endorsement to the Assemblyman, Yonkers PBA President Det. Keith Olson said “I am proud to announce our endorsement of your re-election to New Y ork State’s Assembly District 94. We truly value your friendship and we are thankful of your commitment to preserving law and order. As President of the Yonkers PBA, I urge all our friends and family members who live in NY Assembly District 94 to vote for Kevin Byrne.”
“I may not represent Yonkers directly in the Assembly,” said Assemblyman Byrne “but I still care deeply about all New Yorkers and that includes the people of Yonkers. I am also fully aware that many of the brave men and women who do work in Yonkers still reside within the 94th Assembly District. I thank the Yonkers PBA for placing their trust in me.”
The Yonkers PBA endorsement adds to a long list of first responder organizations supporting Assemblyman Byrne in his bid for re -election. To date, he has already received endorsements from the Westchester Affiliated Police Associations, Lake Mohegan Professional Firefighters I.A.F.F. Local 2956, Law Enforcement Employees Benevolent Association, Westchester County Corrections Officers Benevolent Association, and the Westchester County Correction Superior Officers Association.
