Organization lauds Byrne’s “pro-jobs, pro-investment, pro-growth agenda”
(October 9, 2020) – The Business Council of New York State Political Action Committee recently announced its slate of endorsements for the 2020 state legislative elections. Assemblyman Kevin Byrne was one of the candidates receiving an endorsement. Byrne, who is seeking his third term to represent the 94th Assembly District, was among those candidates lauded for a “pro-jobs, pro-investment, pro-growth agenda” by the Business Council.
Heather C. Briccetti, Esq., President and CEO of the Business Council of New York State, Inc, laid out the reasons for the endorsement in a release announcing the qualified candidates, “We need leaders in Albany that consider the needs of employers and workers alike. Importantly, they need to appreciate the impact that policy options will have on the state’s economic competitiveness and the ability of the private sector to invest and grow jobs. As we continue to address the COVID crisis, and recover from its economic impacts, there is a growing recognition of the private sector’s role in providing jobs and paychecks and generating revenues to support essential state and local government programs. It is crucial for the state’s business community to stand up for candidates that support a pro-jobs, pro-investment, pro-growth agenda that will generate the resources to address the needs of all New Yorkers.”
Assemblyman Kevin Byrne welcomed the Business Council’s support, “Too many New Yorkers are struggling to find good-paying jobs and meet the ever-increasing cost-of-living. The COVID-19 pandemic has only heightened this economic crisis. I’m grateful to the Business Council’s continued commitment to advocacy and growing New York’s private sector. It is going to require an “all-hands-on” deck approach to fully recover from this crisis and rejuvenate New York’s economy. I am honored to have the Business Council’s support and I look forward to working with them to create jobs, grow the economy, and strengthen our beautiful state.”
The Business Council of New York State PAC joins other prominent business, healthcare, police, first responders, and labor organizations that are supporting Assemblyman Kevin Byrne for re-election. Additional endorsements include:
