(September 21, 2020) – New York, NY – The National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) has announced endorsements of a slate of candidates for New York State’s Assembly and Senate for the upcoming November election. Among the candidates receiving NFIB’s endorsement is Assemblyman Kevin Byrne, as he goes for his third term representing the 94th Assembly District.
According to NFIB’s New York State Director Greg Biryla, candidates that receive NFIB’s endorsement do so because “[they] have demonstrated their commitment to the small businesses in their communities and will be champions for an economic recovery that starts on the Main Streets across our state.”
Assemblyman Kevin Byrne thanked the NFIB for their endorsement and said, “Small businesses are some of the largest job creators in our nation and that’s no different here in New York. The year 2020 has created all sorts of new challenges for these amazing job creators and they have stepped up to the plate. It’s up to New York State to do a better job in supporting them. I’m committed to promoting economic growth and advocating for small business. As Assemblyman for the 94th District, I’ve fought against mandates that enrich bureaucracies and impoverish our businesses and will continue to do so. The NFIB has been a great partner and I’m honored to have their support for re-election.”
While in the state Assembly, Byrne has fought to secure moratoriums on all new regulations; eliminate incorporation fees for LLCs and partnerships; streamline and shorten timeframes for SEQR reviews; reduce burdensome taxes and protect small businesses.
