(October 14, 2020) – The New York State Police Investigators Association, Local 4, IUPA, AFL-CIO has announced its backing of Assemblyman Kevin Byrne for re-election in the 94th Assembly District.

In their announcement, the organization highlighted Byrne’s “experience, integrity, and independence” that made him the clear choice for the Assembly. “You have clearly demonstrated yourself as a dedicated public servant who knows what it takes to get the job done through the most difficult of times and challenging of circumstances.” Acting President Ronald K. Pierone and Troop K Delegate Robert Lombardi said in a letter to the Assemblyman announcing their support of his candidacy.

“I thank the NYS Police Investigators Association for their faith in me.” Byrne said, “As an Assemblyman, I have made it a priority to fight for the men and women who serve and protect our state. From fair labor laws to strengthening our economy, from fighting the tax burden to ensuring law enforcement has sufficient resources to keep our communities and themselves safe, our men and women in blue deserve a representative in Albany that stands up for them. I am honored to be working on their behalf and I thank the NYS Police Investigators Association for their support.”
