(October 13, 2020) – The Westchester County Department of Public Safety PBA (PBA) has announced its support for Assemblyman Kevin Byrne’s re-election to the 94th Assembly District. Byrne, who is running for his third term, was heralded by the PBA for his “accomplishment and commitment to the law enforcement community.”
In a letter to the Assemblyman announcing the PBA’s support, the organization’s President, Michael Hagan, noted his confidence that Byrne would “be a fair, honest, and effective legislator”.
Assemblyman Byrne thanked the PBA for their support, “It is a great honor to have our dedicated public safety professionals support my candidacy. Throughout my time in the Assembly, I have fought for the rights of working men and women. This pandemic has been especially hard on our first responders who have been on the frontlines throughout our community. As New York State recovers, our men and women in law enforcement will need our support as they have supported and protected us. I thank the PBA for putting its faith in me and I pledge to continue the good fight.”
The Westchester Department of Public Safety PBA joins several other law enforcement unions that have backed Assemblyman Kevin Byrne. The Assemblyman has also drawn an array of support from business organizations, labor unions, and community groups. Some other endorsements include:
