(October 6, 2020) – Today, Assemblyman Kevin Byrne announced he has received an endorsement from the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. The endorsement is the latest in a string of labor unions announcing their support for Assemblyman Byrne’s re-election to represent the 94th Assembly District.
In a letter to the Assemblyman announcing the endorsement, William Banfield, assistant to the executive secretary/treasurer for the union, touted the fact that Assemblyman Byrne is the best candidate to achieve the union’s principles of “intelligent labor laws” that will help “create jobs and stimulate the economy”.
Assemblyman Byrne thanked the union for their support, saying “I have worked to protect working families and build strong relationships with the men and women that build our state. We must ensure that New York State is a safe and affordable place not only to live but to work. New York’s economy is struggling and job creation needs to be a priority. Our work-force, including our great Carpenters, is essential to getting this state back on track. I’m honored to have their support.”
