EMS, Dispatchers, and Police
(October 6, 2020) – More endorsements from first responder organizations are piling up for Kevin Byrne’s bid for re-election to the 94th Assembly District. The joint endorsement comes from the Uniformed EMTs, Paramedics, and Fire Inspectors, Local 2507 – FDNY; Uniformed EMS Officers Union, Local 3621-FDNY; Uniformed Fire Alarm Dispatchers Benevolent Association – FDNY; New York City Deputy Sheriffs’ Association; the Westchester County Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association, and others.
In a letter to the Assemblyman, the organizations’ legislative counsel, Robert Ungar, said, “Your experience and concern for public safety, public safety professionals, working families, our education system, and the economy have certainly been a major asset to the people of the 94th Assembly District……We are confident you will never forget the people that elected you.”
Assemblyman Byrne thanked the groups for their endorsement. “To earn the support of so many first responders is an honor and I am deeply grateful. Our fire, police, EMS, and dispatchers are on the front-lines working as first responders 24/7. That has only been amplified throughout the pandemic. I pledge to continue to fight in Albany to protect our brave men and women who serve us, and will be a staunch advocate for the resources they need and deserve. I know from personal experience the crucial contributions that our first responders make, and I am honored to have so many of them supporting me for re-election.”
